“I like balancing stuff, down to the penny.” That passion for accuracy is what caused Linda to institute rigorous quality control measures at Candoor. Linda takes this personally, because Candoor is her business. She started it in 1997 and through hard work, determination and investment in software, equipment and staff, Candoor has seen a 100-fold increase in payroll volume. But Linda is quick to share credit with her employees. “It’s really a team effort.”
“Around here, we like to say ‘not a problem!’” The customer-service focus, flexibility and nimbleness at Candoor enables them to respond to customer requests that way. Things were very different when Kyle worked at a large factory, prior to joining Candoor.
Micaela joined Candoor in February of 2015 and earned her CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) designation in 2017 from the American Payroll Association. Her duties include resolving payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information, providing payroll information to clients by answering questions and requests, assisting in payment of payroll taxes, training the new team members and clients, and many other daily or weekly tasks to help make things easier for our clients.
Donna is a graduate of Purdue University and has worked in the Payroll or tax industry since 1989. She started at Candoor Payroll in September 2018 as a payroll processor. She has recently taken on many new responsibilities helping with operations and client management. “Each day can be a new challenge, new way to do a process, and that keeps you engaged” Donna says. Donna enjoys working with the clients and the uniqueness of processing each payroll.
Donna resides in Brookston with her husband. An avid IU sports fan, in her spare time she enjoys watching college basketball, reading, motorcycle trips with her husband and spending time with their grandchildren.
Pam Bol started with Candoor in February 2019 as a Payroll Specialist. She brings with her 15 years of payroll experience, both as a Specialist and as a Payroll Client. She enjoys problem solving and seeing the clients pleased with the service she and her co-workers provide.
Pam has a Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management and an Associates degree in Business Management. She feels that the job experience and education she has in these areas helps her better relate and serve the clients and their needs.
Prior to Candoor, Pam worked for 5 years at a local manufacturer in the Human Resource Department where she was responsible for employment and Training/Orientation activities. She was also the Administrator for all Health Benefits and 401k Benefits, plus solved any issues that came up along the way. Having this background really helps in understanding the overall aspects of payroll.
Pam has been married for over 25 years and has three children and enjoys quilting, crafting, and dabbling in stained glass.
