What Is E-Verify

E-Verify is an internet based system that uses information from an employee's I-9 Employee Eligibility Verification and compares it to federal records to verify eligibility to work in the US.

Once the I-9 is filled out by the applicant, it's compared to records held by the US Department of Homeland security, including:

  • US passport and visa information
  • State-issued driver's license and identity document information
  • Social Security Administration records
  • Immigration and naturalization records

Work Opportunity Tax Credit

The Work Opportunity Tax Credit gives employers up to $9,600 in tax credits for each employee that meets the right criteria, including:

  • SNAP (food stamps)
  • Veterans
  • Those that live in disadvantaged or low-income areas
  • Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
  • Youth employees
  • Convicts
  • Long-term unemployed
  • Supplemental Security Assistance (SSI)

Applicants will be asked a few questions to determine if they are WOTC eligible. All eligible candidates will have their estimated tax credit value displayed on their application. When hired, all documents will be automatically collected to receive your WOTC certificate.
