Linda Berryman
Founder
Candoor’s roots trace back over 30 years when Linda began working in the accounting department of a local law firm. In 1997, she and her husband transitioned to full-time payroll, opening BBCS (later Candoor) to serve Greater Lafayette, Indiana. Linda earned her Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation, investing in procedures, people, and specialized payroll software to handle nearly any payroll type, particularly for small businesses.
The business has grown exponentially. Today, Linda focuses on tax compliance, ensuring timely and accurate filings and resolving issues. She is active in professional organizations, including the National American Payroll Association, Lafayette APA (where she served as president and vice president), the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, and others.
Though building up the business left little time for hobbies, Linda now enjoys quilting, reading, and family time. She and her husband, Glenn, live just minutes from the office.
Kyle Berryman
President
Candoor was founded in 1997 by Linda, whose commitment to accuracy and customer service laid the foundation for the family business's success. Her son, Kyle, joined Candoor in 2005, starting with packaging and deliveries. Over the years, he advanced through roles in data entry, payroll processing, customer implementation, and IT management. He is tech-savvy and has been key in implementing advanced digital document management systems, streamlining operations, and improving client services.
Before joining the family business, Kyle gained valuable experience in manufacturing and direct sales, where he honed his ability to understand customer needs and deliver tailored solutions. This expertise now drives his commitment to providing accurate, timely payroll services while adapting to clients' specific requirements. As the president of Candoor, Kyle continues to lead the company with a focus on innovation and client satisfaction.
Outside of work he enjoys traveling, golf, going to the movies, and DIY projects around the house. Kyle spends his weekends with his wife, traveling for sports, and enjoys being a dad to his two boys.
Micaela Lawson
Operations Manager
Micaela joined Candoor in February 2015 and earned her Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation in 2017 from the American Payroll Association. Her responsibilities include resolving payroll discrepancies, assisting clients with payroll information and tax payments, training new team members and clients, and handling various tasks to simplify processes for clients.
Originally from Boone County, Micaela values the personal connections fostered in small towns, schools, and businesses. With experience in bookkeeping, management, and customer service, she graduated from Manchester College in 2012. After working in customer service and Human Resources at a large retailer, she brought her expertise to Candoor.
Micaela and her husband Casey live near Lafayette with their twin sons and dogs.
Donna Watson
Payroll Manager
Donna, a Purdue University graduate, has been in the payroll and tax industry since 1989. She joined Candoor Payroll in September 2018 as a payroll processor and has since taken on expanded responsibilities in operations and client management. Donna values the dynamic nature of her work, enjoying the challenges and variety that come with processing each payroll and supporting clients.
Donna lives in Brookston with her husband. A dedicated IU sports fan, she enjoys college basketball, reading, motorcycle trips with her husband, and spending time with their grandchildren.
Pam Boll
Payroll Specialist
Pam Bol joined Candoor in February 2019 as a Payroll Specialist, bringing 15 years of payroll experience as both a Specialist and a Payroll Client. With a background in problem-solving, she takes pride in providing excellent service to clients alongside her team.
Pam holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management and an associate’s degree in Business Management, which enhance her ability to understand and meet client needs. Before joining Candoor, she spent five years in the Human Resources department of a local manufacturer, handling employment, training, health benefits, 401k administration, and issue resolution. This experience gives her a well-rounded perspective on payroll.
Married for over 25 years, Pam has three children and enjoys quilting, crafting, and working with stained glass in her free time.
Jennifer Wagner
Payroll Specialist
Jennifer brings over 24 years of payroll and accounting expertise to the team. Since joining the company in August 2024, she has leveraged her extensive experience, including her prior role as a client communication coordinator, to build strong client relationships and ensure satisfaction. Jennifer attended IUPUI, the University of Indianapolis, and Ivy Tech, excelling in business law and accounting, and is working toward her bachelor’s degree in business management and accounting.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending concerts, kayaking, and traveling to mine crystals and minerals. Jennifer also creates wire-wrapped jewelry in her free time.
